Tomorrow my first little one goes off to school. I am very nervous and excited. I am worried she will get bullied, someone will pick on her, she won’t understand the content and that I will not be there. I am excited for her new found independence and all the wonderful things she will learn. It’s just as big for the parents as it is for the child.
When I was blog surfing recently I came across an idea for a valentines gift for your teacher, it was gorgeous, a few lovely tea’s wrapped in a ribbon. For the life of me I can’t remember where I saw this, sorry I can’t show you the link. I thought as a teacher I would love to get a little gift like this off a student whether it’s the first day, valentines day or just any old day. This made me think of a simple teachers gift for the first week of school.
As you know I do love a good printable and I have made some lovely notes to place with a simple teachers gift. I have put them together with a couple of gourmet tea’s. Ta Da an easy, simple, thoughtful gift. There is one for the teacher and one for the education assistant (they are worth their weight in gold). If you don’t have tea try a chocolate or if you know your teacher is a coffee freak a couple of pods. It doesn’t have to be much it’s the thought that counts. Your full time child this year will spend approximately 1000 hours in the classroom with their teacher. Teacher try their best for your child. They look after them, they educate them, they make sure they feel safe, they help them negotiate fights with their friends, they make them laugh and give them rewards. A little note and a bag of tea makes them feel like they are appreciated for the tough job of teaching 32 students in a room the size of living/family room. So give them a something little special this week and make their week.

This simple teachers gift is so easy to do and will delight your child’s teacher. All the best for your first week back at school.
